In our last episode I told you about some hate mail that I received while working on “The Flip Side.” The new television show that I am helping write/produce starring hilarious comedian Michael Loftus. If you have not seen it yet, check it out at www.theflipsideshow.com -I think you will enjoy it.
Anyhoo, incase you forgot, this was what the email said:
“I’m appalled to have learned that a politically conservative show like yours, would employ a contemptible employee, Jake Iannarino. He personally and frequently talks about smoking drugs on his twitter account. He even tweets that he does not believe in politics. His comedy is the lowest form of humor. If you are trying to succeed as conservative entertainment, you should know WHO is writing it!” -Dave Walters
I agree with him on the lowest form of humor part, btw.
Check out my last post to see my response. I thought it was all over. But then I forgot that my boss Kfir is a HUGE wiseass just like me! I guess he was going through some old emails and decided to respond to the guy as well. Here is what he said:
Dave,
Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. Jason has recently been let go after we investigated his tweets and caught him smoking marijuana in the bathroom on the set. We also recently began testing all staff members for drugs, as we want to ensure our show is created in a drug-free environment. As conservatives, we have zero tolerance for drug use of any kind, except for alcohol of course.
Please let us know if you have any further recommendations for the show, and we appreciate your feedback.
Kfir Alfia
Well needless to say when I heard he sent this email to poor Dave Walters I laughed my ass off. And since so many of you contacted me on Facebook telling me that you enjoyed my response, I thought you would enjoy Kfir’s as well. I work for some awesome people. Sorry Dave Walters. But we already know we are not your “typical” conservatives. Maybe our show isn’t for you. Maybe you would be better off watching “The View” with the rest of the bitchy soccer moms.
Well, folks. I have to go. I’m in Paris right now. I’ll tell you more about THAT later.
